General

When will the next program run?
  • In 2025, see the front page for dates.
 How many students can be part of the program?
  • 26 students from Wollongong, and 26  students from SIM.
​How do I know if my application will be competitive?
  • We'll look at your average across completed 200-level Psychology subjects,  as well as your answer to the question about how you might benefit from the program.
Will I receive any credit points for participation in the PICS program? 
  • Yes, each student will receive 6 credit points of unspecified credit awarded after completion of the PICS program.  

Wollongong-based students

What is the situation with accommodation? 
  • Accommodation will be twin-share in a 4-star hotel. 
Do I need to make my own way to and from Sydney airport?
  • Yes.
Are airport transfers provided in Singapore?
  • Yes.  From the airport to Hotel on arrival, and from the Hotel to airport on departure.
Do I need to obtain travel insurance?
  • No.  The University provides comprehensive travel insurance for all Wollongong-based students in the program.
Will this cost me anything? 
  • In 2025 there will be student contribution of $400 per student.
  • The student contribution and  NCP travel grant will be used to cover costs such as flights, accommodation (including breakfast), airport transfers, planned off-campus site visits and required transportation.
What else will I have to pay for?
  • Travel to/from Sydney airport, food, entertainment, shopping, etc.

  • Planned off-campus site visits and required transportation​
What do I have to pay for?
  • Travel to/from SIM campus.
PICS is funded by the Australian Government's New Colombo Plan (NCP) mobility grants, with support from the Faculty of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the School of Psychology at the University of Wollongong, and Singapore Institute of Management.
